Mike, Corey, Ashley and Candice Lange family photo taken in October 2005. Corey had just turned 7 years old and Ashley was 4 years old. They have changed so much in one year.
I'll write more about our family and our journey with special needs as the website is more complete with the other information for everyone to use.

This digital photo was taken by Alan Gunn and edited by Amy Gunn. Alan Gunn Studios is located in Dacula, GA and can be contacted at 678-714-8404. I love having them take our photos. Amy does a wonderful job putting four heads together from different photos and making it look as if we all did it in one shot. Alan also takes photos at weddings.
Hi, I am Candice Lange. My family has lived in Dacula, GA since 2000 and active in the special needs community for my 8 year old son, Corey, who has mild Pachygyria (smooth brain) and epilepsy. I also have a 5 year old daughter, Ashley and my husband, Mike, who owns Sophtware.com. FOCUS has been a wonderful organization for support and information.
Several months after our move from Medford, Oregon, Corey turned 2 and went to his regular checkup only to be diagnosed with mild hypotonic cerebral palsy. Since then he has also been diagnosed with a rare mild form of Lissencephaly, perisylvian syndrome, multifocal epilepsy, global developmental delays, motor planning delays, strabismus, PDD, and sensory issues. Some terms have stayed others have been dismissed. This is our reason for being apart of FOCUS. This year, 2006, Ashley went off to kindergarten and my heart wanted to do a support group for our area in Gwinnett. My husband also encouraged me to start a website with special needs topics and ways to connect the group and others for playdates, events, etc. called “Making Connections. Finding Solutions” at www.candicelange.com.
